It is the dead of winter, but you would hardly know it. Christmas is over and the days are still short, but here
they are usually sunny. Emily decided it was the perfect day for a walk around the lake. She named this lake "Secrets
of Blue Lake" because it is such a beautiful color and she likes to imagine there are many special secrets it could tell if
you just listen closely.
It's a long, long walk for someone so small, but Emily is a very energetic little girl and is not worried about making it
all the way around in one afternoon. Besides, she has her shadow for company!
And when Emily needs a rest she can sit and watch the waves for a bit.
After just a short rest Emily found some boulders to climb on.
Woohoo! She made it to the top. And that is the end of today's story.
